Being able to travel with nursing students to areas of need in health care will provide this opportunity of growth both personal as more importantly as a nurse. I am so privileged to be working with such wonderful nursing students. If you can support these nursing students, small or big, you will be part of an amazing journey. Everyone at some points needs the special care of a nurse.

I make holding your hand seem like the most important thing in the world when you're scared. I can make your child breathe when they stop. I can help your father survive a heart attack. I make you and your family feel like my own family. I make myself get out of bed at 5am to make sure your mother has the medicine she needs to live. And when your family member has come to the end of their life on this earth, I make sure they are as comfortable as they can be until they take that last breath. I make a difference, what do you make?"
ReplyDeleteI should be so lucky, at the end of my life (or the life of a loved one), to have this particular nurse, my best friend, sitting beside me and holding my hand, trying to make a difference .. making me feel better.
