The University of Maine Nursing International group will be going on their 2nd international trip to Belize during our March 2013 Spring Break.
The year group, thus far, consist of 11 nursing students and one faculty . We have started to meet weekly to prepare for the trip and to plan for fundraising.
The goal of the trip is to provide healthcare to a rural community in Belize, as well as enhance our understanding of global health issues.Our hope is that thru this experience, we can become more culturally competent and knowledgeable nurses.
